What an honor to have a holiday visit to the Appalachian Children’s Home! During my visit this week I was given the opportunity to speak to the girls (ages 12 – 17). We talked about self-esteem and personal goals at the ACH campus. I learned an incredible amount about the good work happening daily!
The ACH staff and board of directors are dedicated to achieve excellence while providing a stable, loving Christian environment for the well-being of the whole child. Over one hundred churches, businesses, and individuals who have a heart for the safety and well-being of children support the Children’s Home. In a setting where the mountains restrict the view to a less than a mile and the household poverty rate is among the top ten in the nation, ACH President Steve Yeary has managed to see clearly into the future and position the non-profit for continued success. Thank you ACH for having me and I look forward to seeing you soon in 2013! http://achky.org/
